If you're up in Troutman or Statesville, you've got a little more interstate between you and us than most of our runners do. Here's why plenty of north Iredell folks make the drive anyway: the 20th Annual IDNutrition Lake Norman Half Marathon Turkey Trot 10K & 5K has a half marathon, a 10K and a 5K on one morning, with free parking right at the start, and it's a straight shot down I-77 to Exit 28 in Cornelius. 2026 is our 20th year.
From Troutman: take Main St (US 21 / NC 115) south to I-77 South, then go about 13 miles to Exit 28 (Catawba Ave / Cornelius). Turn left on Liverpool Pkwy, left on Chartwell Center Dr, and right on Chartown Dr. That's about 17 miles and about 25 minutes.
From Statesville: get on I-77 South and stay on it for about 20 miles to Exit 28, then follow the same three turns. From downtown that's about 23 miles and about 31 minutes.
You'll pass Mooresville on the way (we have a page for them too, if you're carpooling). Open directions in Google Maps. Drive times are approximate, with no traffic.
